Beepurple’s Intensive Business Start-Up Summer Course
Dates: Monday 14 – Friday 18 June 2010
Venue: Moulsecoomb Campus
UltraViolet is Beepurple’s Intensive Business Start-Up Course aimed at final years and graduates. Over the course of five days, course attendees will develop their entrepreneurial skills and also learn how to become self-employed and more enterprising – something which they may not have covered during their degree.
By the end of the course, attendees will have developed the following skills of:
- Business ideas development and creative thinking
- Opportunity seeking and analysis
- Negotiation and selling
- Communication and networking
- Marketing
- Financial planning
- Business planning
- Leadership
Attendees will also learn about the legalities of starting up a business and how to protect their intellectual property.
Throughout the week, attendees will meet local entrepreneurs, and learn from their successes and experiences of setting up and running a business.
If you thought was all, you are wrong! All attendees will also take part in a Charity Challenge fundraising for a local charity, and will also have the chance to enter an elevator pitch competition to win £200!
This free course is designed for final years and graduates who would like to develop their own business ideas and gain some essential enterprise skills relevant for self-employment or employment.

Food and refreshments will be provided throughout the week. If you are living in Eastbourne, free travel to/from the Moulsecoomb campus will be provided.
